Greetings! I grew up in Pearland and graduated from Pearland High School class of 2000. It was there, in Pre-AP Biology, that I met the love of my life. After graduating, I followed him to Texas A&M University. I began as a biology major, but soon became engrossed in a love for anthropology. I graduated with my B.A. and later went on to get a master's degree in education. I now live a learning-filled, happy life with my husband and our five cats.
When I am not planning lessons or teaching, I spend my time reading, traveling, playing games with friends, or taking photographs. My favorite books, at the moment, are short story anthologies because I can fit a full story into my brief bits of free time on work days. My husband and I share a love of visiting historical places, so you may see us on the side of the road one day taking photos next to a historical marker. I'm an avid photographer, and nature is my favorite subject- everything from lichen to birds, and of course my cats.
I love learning, and am always delving into new topics or working on a deeper understanding of ones with which I'm already familiar. It is because I love learning so much, that I have a hard time believing that others do not share this passion. I feel that everyone can love learning about something- and I hope to introduce a love of science to each of my students. There are many sciences, but as I am currently teaching biology to a great group of Freshmen, this site will focus mainly on that.
